The concept is simple.. you bake three dozen of those holiday cookies everybody raves about, bring them and then take home samples of everyone else's cookies to share with your family! Join us on Lark Street this Saturday, December 14th, from 11am to 4pm, for the 8th annual Chili & Chowder Stroll & Santa Speedo Sprint. Savoy Taproom and The Copper Crow are two of the eighteen restaurants competing this year. Savoy will be serving up samples of a Texas Firehouse Chili - beef, cayenne, green chili, onion, red bell pepper, and seasonings, and The Copper Crow will be serving a Three Sisters Chowda - hominy, butternut squash, black bean, smoked scallop, and oyster. This year marks the 19th Annual Santa Speedo Sprint, registration for the race begins at 11am and the race kicks off at 2pm. Dress in your favorite festive outfit and help raise money for the Albany Damien Center and the HIV/AIDS program at Albany Medical Center.

Oktoberfest celebrates centuries-old Bavarian culture with traditional food & bier, live Polka music, street vendors, Dachshund racing & more. Held the first week of October during Upstate New York’s peak crisp fall season and drawing thousands of patrons from all over New York State and beyond, our block party is event not to be missed.

Grab a drink at the bar and then vote for your favorites and stick around as our judges nominate their choices for best dishes.

Awards will be given in two categories - home cook and professional chef. Dishes will be judged for, rather obviously - taste of course, along with creativity, originality and ease of cooking. Winners will receive cash & other prizes along with bragging rights for a year!
